Goldfish market ahead of Noruz

TEHRAN, – There is a great boom in goldfish market across the country including the capital city of Tehran during the last days of the year.
Noruz is the name of the Iranian New Year in Iranian calendars and the corresponding traditional celebrations.
A bowl of water with goldfish is a major item on traditional table setting of Nowruz.
Goldfish breeds vary greatly in size, body shape, fin configuration and coloration (various combinations of white, yellow, orange, red, brown, and black are known). Children very like goldfish.
