Before January 25th 2011, political street art in Cairo was all but completely absent, and artists were under constant threat from agents of the Mubarak regime. The art that emerged during the uprising took many forms, from cursory spray paint to ornate Egyptian calligraphy.

Bahrain is not for sale
Bahraini anti-government protesters stand close to makeshift roadblocks in Manama on March 14, 2011, a day after Bahraini police clashed with demonstrators trying to occupy Manama's banking centre.
On Friday tens of thousands of Bahrainis have rallied outside the capital, Manama, to protest against the proposed Saudi Arabia-Bahrain merger plan.
Marching under the slogan of '"Yes to Our Nation", Bahraini protesters jammed a major highway west of Manama to express their opposition to the Saudi bid for a closer union with Bahrain, saying their country is not for sale.
They also chanted slogans against their country's ruler, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Saudi Arabia is seeking to initially create a closer union with Bahrain in line with plans to unify the six Arab member states of the [Persian] Gulf Cooperation Council.
Iran says the plan is aimed at quelling the protests in Bahrain as the Al Khalifa regime is unable to stop the peaceful demonstrations in the country.

Shameless and brutal
Egyptian security forces' shameless and brutal treatment of female protesters has reached the World Wide Web as well as media outlets, sending shockwaves through the international community. On Sunday, the troops attacked the protesters for the third consecutive day in the capital Cairo, continuing to brutalize young activists. At least 10 protesters have been killed and 441 wounded in the violence, which erupted on Thursday, when one of the several hundred peaceful protesters staging a sit-in outside the cabinet offices was detained and beaten up by the troops.
Photos and video footage posted online showed the forces' mercilessly attacking a female protester, pulling up her manteau and dragging her half-naked through the street. One riot police member -- strangely in sneakers instead of the uniform footwear -- was seen kicking her savagely in the chest.

New Protests In Egypt
A general view shows Tahrir Square as Egyptian riot policemen try to disperse protesters in Cairo November 20, 2011. Police backed by the army used batons and teargas on Sunday to charge protesters in Cairo's Tahrir Square demanding Eygpt's ruling generals swiftly hand power to civilians, in some of the worst violence since the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak.9 Months after the first Tahrir Square protests in Cairo, Egypt against the regime of Mubarak the people are back on that same square protesting again. This time against what they call the Military Junta. When Mubarak was removed from office the army took over as a temporariry measure, to restore law and order and such important things, but let’s be honest, whenever an Army has taken over as a temporariry measure it has never been temporariry. In the old Egypt the Army was already powerful and in the new Egypt it is even more powerful. And power is not something that is given up easily or without a fight. We wish the people of Egypt well.

Free Libya without Gaddafi
In Misrata, residents crowded into long lines to get a chance to view the body of Gaddafi, which was laid out on a mattress on the floor of an emptied-out vegetable and onions freezer at a local shopping centre. The body had apparently been stowed in the freezer in an attempt to keep it out of the public eye, but once the location was known, that intention was swept away in the overwhelming desire of residents to see the man they so deeply despised.Men, women and children filed in to take their picture with the body. The site's guards had even organised separate visiting hours for families and single men.
"We want to see the dog," some chanted.
The body of Gaddafi, 69, was stripped to the waist, his torso and arms streaked with dried blood. Bullet wounds in the chest, abdomen and left side of the head were visible.
The bloody siege of Misrata over the summer instilled a particularly virulent hatred of Gaddafi there - a hatred now mixed with pride because he was captured and killed by fighters from the city.

it's time to go
Israel flew its ambassador home from Cairo on Saturday after protesters stormed its embassy building, plunging Egypt's military rulers into their worst diplomatic crisis since they took over from Hosni Mubarak.Egyptian protesters stormed the Israeli embassy premises in Cairo after Friday prayers to call for the expulsion of Israel's ambassador. They tore down the flag from the building for the second time in less than a month.
Angry Egyptians also destroyed parts of the protective cement wall around the embassy and broke into the building, despite the presence of heavily armed Egyptian security forces.
Three people were killed and 1,049 wounded in clashes between protesters and police, the Health Ministry said.
Egypt was the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel in 1979, but the situation has drastically changed since Egypt's February revolution, with the Egyptian people calling for the treaty to be scrapped.

Thanks God
Yemeni Protesters Celebrate Saleh's Ouster. Protesters in Yemen are celebrating the fall of the Yemeni dictatorial regime after President Ali Abdullah Saleh escaped to Saudi Arabia. “Today, Yemen is newborn,” sang dozens of youths in Sanaa’s University Square.Al-Arabiya news channel was reporting that Saleh was in a military hospital in Riyadh Saturday night with wounds in the neck and chest, and that he had arrived late Saturday along with 35 other people also injured in the palace attack.
Saleh sustained neck and chest injuries in the attack in the capital, Sana'a. However, shortly after the attack, Yemen's state media said Saleh suffered minor injuries and aired an audio message from him saying he was in good condition.
The unrest in Yemen began in mid-February when protesters — inspired by successful uprisings in Egypt and Tunisia — took to the streets to demand that the autocratic leader of 33 years step down. But that generally peaceful movement gave way to vicious street fighting when tribal militias took up arms two weeks ago.

Brutally tortured Martyr Fakhrawi
Brother of the martyr prevents journalists and photographers from taking pictures of the martyr in washing place of the cemetery. Even martyr’s wife was prevented from having farewell with her husband. It is seems that the martyr’s family had received threats from the Ministry of Interior in the case of the publication of any image. Two photographers were taking picture on the body of the martyr in washing place of the cemetery, but the brother of the martyr strongly asked him to erase the pictures.
After the eviction of the pure body of the martyr of the mosque to perform burial prayer for him, a group of angry young Bahraini who heard the martyr was tortured in jail opened the shroud and saw the body of the martyr in order to see the effects of torture that led to his martyrdom.
