Mycobacterium Iranicum

Iran's newly-discovered bacteria named Mycobacterium Iranicum which causes tuberculosis-like meningitis and skin lesions in the human body received a world approval and was registered under Iran's name.
"I discovered the new type of mycobacterium 7 years ago and succeeded in registering it after going through very complex phases of segregation," Hassan Shojayee, the Iranian researcher who discovered Mycobacterium Iranicum, said.
Iran has made huge achievements in various fields of science and technology, from nuclear knowledge to stem cells and Nano technology, in the last two decades.
